First Baptist supports the American Baptist Convention through unified budget support of missionaries both home and abroad. The American Baptist Women support the Special Interest Missionaries. White Cross Ministries, Scholarship and Refit, the Central Region Project and Crawford Association projects, and many more ministries that arise. The American Baptist has been active down through the years.

Down through the years our church buildings have served us well. Never a sacred building but always a Christ believing Assembly.

The church has given generously through the years to help those in need. Among those in later years have been in 1989 the church gave 4250.oo to Mound City Baptist church, which had been destroyed by fire. In 1993 the church gave $3000.00 to " Facing Our Future" for a campground. In 1995, the church gave Caney First Baptist $ 1000.00 to help in their building fund.

We believe our church body has received from Christians of the past, rich resources of Christian Theology, which Baptists have gladly retained because they reflect the fullness of the gospel in christ, which the New Testament presents. Those Beliefs have prevailed in our church down through the years. May our church always glorify God who works within us that we may achieve great things for Him.
